In a life-threatening situation, your actions can be the difference
between life and death for a child. Pediatric Advanced Life Support
(PALS) is an American Heart Association (AHA) program that aims to
better equip you to save a child’s life in case of serious injury or
severe illness. PALS training programs provide extensive hands-on
training in skills such as

resuscitation.

PALS courses are two days long (plus a third self-learning day) and they

Complete the Course

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Emergency Cardiovascular
Care (ECC) approximately every five years. Be sure to check how long
your certification lasts so you'll know when you'll need to start taking
steps to renew your certification to keep up with the most recent
updates. PALS certifications typically last for two years.
PALS certification is valuable to have if you work closely with young
children. The training program teaches you crucial skills like life
