The New Series of Doctor Who
was a long time coming. 16 years to be precise... Over
those years, fans have speculated the who, what, when,
where and why's of a potential new series. It was then
announced in 2003 that a new series would be on our
screens in 2005. This is it - The Doctor is back...
What we didn't expect, was how
well it would be received. The stories were well-written,
the direction was notable, and the acting was sheer
class - not to mention the phenomenal ratings... But
within the first season of this new series was a sub-plot,
which to the untrained eye could be invisible. A plot
that carries over from episode to episode with subtle
references in the form of visual and verbal imagery.
It has commonly become known
as "Bad
Wolf"...
Below is a guide to the visual
and verbal references to Bad Wolf, in season one - so

On
the wall littered with flyers,
is a smiley face with the words
"Bad

written on it... |
|
|
Probably
the most subtle reference in
the series so far, we see Nancy

his "big ears" and
his "big nose", both
references to the Little Red

before quickly brushing it off
as nothing. |
